(Web Desk) – Indian forces have intensified their campaign of house raids and search operations across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), with multiple arrests and widespread harassment reported in Srinagar and other areas of the Kashmir Valley.
According to Kashmir Media Service, troops forcibly entered homes and conducted violent cordon and search operations under the controversial Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Civilians, including women and children, were reportedly harassed and tortured, while young men were taken into custody without justification.
Victims reported the confiscation of land deeds, bank documents, mobile phones, and laptops. Households were ransacked, furniture smashed, and valuables, including gold and cash, looted.
The deliberate targeting of ordinary families aims to sow fear and deter dissent, locals said. Many remain in custody as the crackdown continues.
