(Web Desk) – Pakistan has decided to formally issue a diplomatic notice to India over the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty.
According to sources from the Indus Water Commission, after legal and constitutional consultations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Water Resources, and Ministry of Law have completed initial preparations. The notice will seek concrete reasons from India for the suspension of the treaty.
Pakistan is also considering lodging strong protests at international forums against the suspension and aims to present India’s water aggression effectively before the world. This step is intended to provide legal and moral legitimacy to Pakistan’s stance.
Officials stated that Pakistan holds legal precedence on the Indus Waters Treaty and expects India to soon reconsider its decision. All actions will be taken following approval from the government and the federal cabinet.
It is worth noting that Pakistan has never violated the Indus Waters Treaty and has always upheld international law.
