Tehran (Web Desk): The United States has imposed new sanctions on Iran’s ballistic missile program, prompting a strong response from the Iranian President, who stated that Iran will not bow to any form of bullying.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks against Tehran during his visit to Gulf countries, saying, “Have you come here to scare us? We will not bow to bullying.”
The Iranian President added, “Trump thinks he can come here and intimidate us. For us, martyrdom is more honorable than dying in bed.”
While in Saudi Arabia, Donald Trump stated that he wants to make a deal with Iran, but if that doesn’t happen, he will impose severe economic sanctions on the country.
Meanwhile, the U.S. has imposed new sanctions on Iran’s ballistic missile program. In recent weeks, the Trump administration has also placed multiple sanctions on individuals and entities linked to Iran’s oil industry and nuclear program.
The U.S. has announced new sanctions against six individuals and twelve companies supporting Iran’s ballistic missile program, including several Chinese nationals.
Will Sign Nuclear Deal If U.S. Lifts Sanctions: Senior Advisor to Supreme Leader
In addition, a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader has stated that Tehran is ready to re-sign the nuclear agreement if the economic sanctions imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump are fully lifted.
According to Ali Shamkhani, the senior advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader, Iran is willing to give up its current stockpile of enriched uranium, provided the U.S. accepts Iran’s conditions.
He added that Iran is also willing to limit uranium enrichment to civilian levels, but for that, the U.S. must completely lift all sanctions.
Shamkhani further stated that if an agreement is reached, Iran would also allow international inspectors access to its nuclear facilities.
